Overview
As Creative Lead, I partnered closely with Mike Mulligan (Executive Producer) to shape the core “Launch Bay” concept for Abundant Life Church’s next-generation kids’ wing. From our earliest brainstorming sessions to the final pitch deck, Mike and I co-developed the narrative framework rooted in Mark 16:15 and PlainJoe’s Character-Setting-Plot model that imagines the ministry as an Abundant Life Space Port where children “launch out to live sent.”
My Focus
-
Overall Art Direction – defined the visual language, color story, and key sci-fi references that drive every render and illustration.
-
Mood Boards – curated six space-themed boards (Lobby, Check-In, Playroom, Hallways, Signage, Props/Textures) to align stakeholders and guide production.
-
Graphic Systems – established logo lock-ups, iconography, and way-finding motifs that carry the story from entrance to small-group rooms.
Collaborative Team
-
Concept Ideation – Mike and I refined the “Space Port” storyline, plotting kid-friendly mission screens, rocket-shaped reading nooks, and constellation crawl tubes around a clear traffic flow.
-
Illustration & Renders – working with Frank Grau (Lead Illustrator), I approved key art passes and ensured every hero moment delivered on our imaginative brief.
-
Project Delivery – Sarah Nash (Project Manager) kept timelines tight while our team iterated through stakeholder feedback rounds, balancing blue-sky vision with budget and operational needs.
The result is a turnkey concept package complete with floor plans, cinematic renders, and fundraising collateral that equips Abundant Life to build a children’s discipleship hub where faith and fun quite literally reach for the stars.
